“The Human Condition” has arrived at Ba Gallery
Oct 13, 2026
According to Mehr News Agency, the exhibition The Human Condition will open at Ba Gallery on Friday, October 9, featuring works by Shabnam Eltejaei, at the suggestion of Aidin Xankashipour.
Eltejaei was born in 1993 in Sirjan. She studied painting at Shahid Bahonar University in Kerman, where she earned her bachelor’s degree. Her first solo exhibition, Nesyan, was held at Humehr Gallery in Kerman. Her other artworks have been exhibited in group exhibitions at Baam Gallery, Shamideh Gallery, Ehsan Gallery, and the Kerman Museum of Contemporary Art.
Part of the exhibition statement reads: “The impulse toward domination and superiority has, at times, driven human beings to acts of extraordinary violence and excess. It is as though humanity has repeatedly sought not only to overcome the other, but to consume them entirely to erase their presence and banish their shadow from the world. Human beings have often attempted to explain this cycle as an expression of their “animal nature,” shifting responsibility onto instincts supposedly shared with other living creatures. Yet the relentless pursuit of power and the rationalization of domination are not merely animal impulses. They belong to one of the most persistent and distinctly human behavioral archetypes.”
The exhibition "The Human Condition" is open to visitors daily from 3 to 8 p.m. and on Fridays from 4 to 8 p.m. Ba Gallery is closed on Saturdays.
