Rooha Dabaghian Still Horizontal(1)

Starting on Friday, April 18, Ba gallery will host a collection of paintings by Rooha Dabaghian. The exhibition, titled “Still,” will be open to the public until May 2nd, 2025.

Rooha Dabaghian, born in 1984 in the city of Sari, completed her academic studies with a Ph.D. in architecture. Since 2019, she has presented her work in exhibitions in Dubai for the first time. “Still” marks her second collaboration with Ba Gallery, following her participation in a group exhibition at the gallery featuring one of her pieces.

The works in this collection are primarily inspired by nature and what still lingers in memory and presence. In her statement about the collection, Dabaghian refers to a poem by Fereydoon Moshiri:

You are not here to see how your scent flows in the depth of moments! how your image appears in the glint of the glass! how your place remains verdant in the soul of life! The window is still open. You gaze at the garden from the height of the balcony. The trees, the grass, the geraniums, they look upon that sweet melody, that smile of kindness, that sunlit gaze.
